Steve Irwin Is Getting a Hollywood Star, and His Family Could Not Be Prouder

It was announced on Thursday that the late Australian wildlife expert Steve Irwin (aka "The Crocodile Hunter") will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018, and naturally, his family was overwhelmed with excitement. Following the news, Steve's wife, Terri, tweeted, "Someone I love is a star," while Steve's 18-year-old daughter, Bindi, shared a precious photo of her and her dad on Instagram. Along with the snap, she wrote, "Dad changed the world by reaching out to people through their television screens to bring them on the adventure of a lifetime. To have his name on a Hollywood Star means the world as we carry on his important work."

Steve's 13-year-old son, Robert, shared similar sentiments, posting a video of his family's reaction and captioning it, "I am so proud of my dad getting a star on the walk of fame in Hollywood . . . I am so excited that everything he loved and was passionate about will carry on." Steve passed away nearly 11 years ago after he was attacked by a stingray, but his memory continues to live on.
