If American Horror Story just isn't enough horror TV for you, we've got some great news: Hulu's Into The Dark is set to debut very soon, and horror fans will have another binge-worthy thriller to get obsessed with. With a loose, mysterious premise and only two episode synopses released so far, there's not a lot of info out there about the new show quite yet. Half the fun of a brand new TV show is the anticipation and curiosity before the premiere, but it's nice to at least know a few things. That's where we come in. We've put together all the details we could find about Into The Dark — check it out.

What's It About?

First things first, what exactly is Into The Dark about? Well, that depends on the individual episodes. The horror series is an anthology, so instead of having a single, long-running storyline that spans the entire season, it's comprised of individual episodes with stand-alone storylines. So far, we know that one episode will follow a suave serial killer in Los Angeles, and another is about some sort of haunting in the house of a woman who has lost her mother.

Who's Starring?

Since details past the first two episodes are scarce so far, we only know who's slated to appear in those installments. The cast will include Tom Bateman, Dermot Mulroney, and Rebecca Rittenhouse. Other cast members include David Hull (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's White Josh) and Max Adler, best known as Karofsky from Glee. It remains to be seen if any of the actors will appear in multiple segments, à la American Horror Story, or if each episode's cast will be completely self-contained.

When Does It Debut?

When Does It Debut?

October seems like the perfect month for a horror series to debut, doesn't it? Hulu is taking full advantage of the spookiest of months to schedule the series premiere of Into The Dark. The show will begin streaming on Friday, Oct. 5, with the first episode "The Body." It had its festival debut in late September with a screening of "The Body" at the LA Film Festival.

How Are the Episodes Organized?

How Are the Episodes Organized?

Most streaming series tend to follow the binge-watching model, dropping an entire season of episodes all at once. Into The Dark, on the other hand, is trying something a little different. Instead of releasing the whole 12-episode first season at once, Hulu is releasing one episode per month. So far, it looks like the pattern will be to release each month's episode on the first Friday of each month: the October episode is scheduled for Oct. 5, and the November episode will become available on Friday, Nov. 2.

Is There a Season-Long Theme?
Hulu

Is There a Season-Long Theme?

Since the show is an anthology, with individual stories, the big gaps between episodes won't result in too much confusion or forgetting what happened last time. The big question, of course, is if — and how — the separate episodes are connected. Although the creators have been tight-lipped as to whether the actual stories will connect somehow, there definitely is an overarching theme to the episodes. Each monthly episode is connected to (or set on) a holiday in that month. So the October episode takes place on Halloween, the November episode is Thanksgiving-themed, and so on.
