11 Shows to Watch If You Think You'll Die Without Pretty Little Liars

This week marks the end of Pretty Little Liars as we know it. Naturally, we're trying to savor every last moment with the Rosewood gang. As avid fans, we're doing our due diligence to make some final guesses, wonder endlessly who "A.D." is, and soak up every last detail about the finale. The sad inevitability, though, is that we're going to need to learn how to let go. And what better way to move on from a TV show than to find another one to rebound with? While you're eating everything and mending your broken heart, it's only natural to turn on another show. Luckily for you, we've compiled a list of series that will specifically soothe the PLL grief that's deep down inside.

01
Teen Wolf
MTV

Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf has the same darkness as PLL with an obvious supernatural twist. It's worth noting, though, that PLL did incorporate a few more mystical elements over the years, especially when it came to Ravenswood. If that town was your jam, chances are you'll love Teen Wolf too.

02
Riverdale
The CW

Riverdale

This new CW show is probably the closest we'll get to a new PLL. Just like Rosewood, the town of Riverdale is full of secrets. Stakes are high at Riverdale High School, and it's just as cutthroat and dramatic as the school the liars face. But there's more to it than just the drama. Both shows begin with the perceived murder of a main character, and the mystery unspools from there. Of course, we eventually find out Ali isn't dead after all, but it's still that sense of mystery that will ultimately rope you in.

Watch it on Netflix.

03
The Vampire Diaries
The CW

The Vampire Diaries

If you couldn't get enough of all the hot hookups on PLL, then The Vampire Diaries is right up your alley. Granted, this show is loaded with vampires, so rather than a crazed cyberstalker, these supernatural creatures are the real central focus of TVD. Nevertheless, you'll appreciate all the juiciness, cattiness, and drama that ignites among all of the main characters.

04
Famous in Love
Freeform

Famous in Love

In concept, Famous in Love is very far away from the sleepy town of Rosewood. It's all about a girl trying to make her way as an actress in Hollywood. When she finds sudden stardom, it's a pretty swift sink-or-swim situation, and we're all along for the ride. The thing is, FIL is created by I. Marlene King, the same creator as PLL. So if you appreciated all the writing and wittiness and the general feel of PLL, you should go here next.

05
Scream
MTV

Scream

Murder is the name of the game in Scream, and I don't think I need to refresh your memory when it comes to all the deaths on PLL. You'll really enjoy Scream if you enjoyed the more horror-skewed aspects of PLL. After all, let's not forget how downright scary the show could be sometimes. And, of course, if you enjoy a good mystery, nothing will captivate you better than a masked killer.

Watch it on Netflix.

06
Gossip Girl
The CW

Gossip Girl

There may not be a lot of murder on Gossip Girl, but it has got a lot going for it. I mean, to start, it's partially about an anonymous digital bully who torments a group of high schoolers with their dirty secrets. Doesn't that sound familiar? Gossip Girl also features a cast of strong female characters and a whole lot of drama, so we imagine you'll feel right a home in this city far from Rosewood.

Watch it on Netflix.

07
Desperate Housewives
ABC

Desperate Housewives

Call me crazy, but I feel like Desperate Housewives is what the girls of Rosewood would eventually turn into once they reached a more mature age. After all, there are five main housewives, all with wildly different personalities. Wisteria Lane seems like a quaint, cute community, but it's filled with drama, infidelity, deception, gossip, and murder. How could you resist?

08
The Carrie Diaries
The CW

The Carrie Diaries

This show appeals to an entirely different aspect of the Pretty Little Liars universe. Despite the fact that PLL handles a lot of heavy themes, it's sometimes the lighter moments that give us a lot of joy. Think about the cute banter among the girls, the over-the-top romance with their respective baes, and the fashion. That's everything you'll get from The Carrie Diaries.

Watch it on Netflix.

09
Revenge
ABC

Revenge

I mean, the title of the show says it all. This is about one woman who's determined to avenge her father, and that means taking down every single person who has contributed to his downfall. Revenge is a theme that runs deep in PLL, so Revenge would be just as fun to watch. Plus, Emily Thorne is a f*cking badass, just like all of the liars.

Watch it on Netflix.

10
Once Upon a Time
ABC

Once Upon a Time

Again, we've got a show that's much more mystical and fantastical than PLL. At its heart, though, One Upon a Time has Storybrooke, a small town with tons of charm and plenty of mystery. It's just like the twin towns of Rosewood and Ravenswood. There will always be some sort of greater force at work. If you don't mind venturing into fairy tale land, you might just like this one. Plus, it gets pretty dark, just like PLL.

Watch it on Netflix.

11
Grey's Anatomy
ABC

Grey's Anatomy

Admittedly, Grey's Anatomy has probably the least to do with PLL on paper. Still, though, you can see how a PLL fan might be a Grey's fan as well. Grey's is all about the drama among the doctors, whether it be drama from sex, betrayal, or simply butting heads. It's so, so hard not to get sucked into the lives of these doctors, just like we all got so involved in the lives of the liars. You won't be able to stop binging.
