Gigi and Zayn both shared on Sept. 23, 2020 that their first child, a daughter named Khai, was born over the weekend of the 19th. In the caption of a photo of Zayn holding Khai's tiny hand, Gigi wrote: "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she's already changed our world. So in love."
Zayn added on Twitter: "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful🙏🏽❤️to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding.Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together." So sweet!
Khai's name was kept under wraps for quite some time after her birth, until on Jan. 21 Gigi subtly changed her Instagram bio to include "khai's mom," finally revealing her daughter's name to the world. Though the couple has yet to disclose the meaning behind the beautiful name, fans speculate she is named to honor Gigi's late grandmother, Khairiah Hadid.
