Who's Down For a Trip to Costco? We'll Drive!
Keto dieters, are you sick of waking up early every morning to whip up a homemade breakfast that perfectly adheres to your high-fat, low-carb lifestyle? Then, boy, do we have the game-changing, time-saving treat for you! Costco just started selling premade bacon and cheese egg bites that make getting out of the door in the a.m. a total breeze — you just pop 'em in the microwave for 60 seconds, and you're good to go. And, yep, they perfectly adhere to the keto diet's restrictions. Here's a breakdown of the nutritional information for each duo of these portable goodies from Three Bridges:
- 24 grams of fat
- 20 grams of protein
- 310 calories
- 2 grams of carbohydrates
- 1 gram of sugar
Made with uncured bacon and a three-cheese blend, the muffin-shaped bites have been a hit among keto-lovers ever since they hit Costco's shelves. One satisfied customer described them as "super yummy" and "very fluffy, cheesy and savory." Some have even gone as far as saying they put Starbucks's Sous Vide Egg Bites to shame because they only cost about $10 for a box that includes four two-packs, whereas you have to fork over nearly $5 for just one pair of egg bites from the Seattle-based coffee chain. Talk about a bargain!
There is one slight catch, however. A Three Bridges representative informed us that the egg bites are currently only available at Costcos located in the San Francisco area, but they do have plans to expand the offering to locations all around the States. Fingers crossed! Read on to learn more about the no-frills breakfast saviors, and then learn about the rest of our go-to keto picks from Costco.
