Long gone are the days of having to get our protein from less-than-tasty shakes and supplements. Much to my delight (and I imagine to the delight of many fitness enthusiasts out there), protein today comes in many glorious and delicious shapes and sizes, including my personal favorite: cookies! Yep, you can get dessert and protein, all in one satisfying baked good.
With protein cookies rising in popularity, cookie-lovers such as myself now have an abundance of options available with a whole slew of brands baking up a variety of flavors. I personally have tried many a cookie on my quest to discover the best of the best. So far, these are my personal favorites.
I love a classic chocolate chip cookie. How can you not? The Tone It Up Plant-Based Protein Chocolate Chip Cookie ($8 for four) is seriously so tasty, and with only one gram of added sugars and fewer than 200 calories, it's a healthful, protein-filled dessert.
If you love a good crunch, the Munk Pack Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie ($24 for 12) is for you! While they're a bit higher in calories and added sugars, these soft-baked cookies are packed with satisfying peanut chunks and 16 grams of protein.
Quest is probably best known for its protein bars, but the Quest Snickerdoodle Protein Cookie ($8 for four) hits the mark in a big way. These sweet cinnamon treats contain 15 grams of satiating protein.
Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate — I can tell you, Lenny & Larry's The Complete Cookie Double Chocolate ($22 for 12) will not disappoint your sweet tooth. And while that means you'll be eating some added sugars, you'll also get a whopping eight grams of protein and five grams of fiber per serving.
Here's the beautiful thing about lemon: it makes everything delicious, even extra protein! This Tone It Up Plant-Based Protein Lemon Blondie Cookie ($8 per four-pack) will quickly become a staple.
