Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

    2 tablespoons maple syrup 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt 20 mint leaves 2 cups spinach, packed 1 frozen banana, peeled and chopped 1 1/2 cups vanilla almond milk 1/4 cup cacao nibs (or chocolate chips) 1 teaspoon spirulina (optional)

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender, and go from mix to liquify in steps. Let it blend on liquify (or the highest setting) for 30 seconds. The trick to this smoothie is REALLY blending it. Add the cacao nibs and blend again, just to incorporate them. If you overblend, your smoothie will turn brown. Taste and add more almond milk if you like a thinner consistency.
