On the most recent episode of the Great Brie Larson Baking Show (trademark pending), the Captain Marvel star whipped up a batch of healthy holiday sugar cookies without a recipe, and, uh, it went about as well as you'd expect. "If I don't have flour, then I'm gonna have to figure out how to make it . . . ," Brie said at the start of the video. Luckily, she found most of the ingredients she needed to make some sugar-free, vegan holiday treats: almond flour, coconut flour, coconut oil, monk fruit sugar, vanilla, baking powder, and potato starch.

She even threw together a quick icing using macadamia nut milk, powdered monk fruit sweetener, and natural food dye. "For not having a recipe, these came out decent!" she captioned the YouTube video. "I love cooking/baking, especially when I get to be creative. If you try these cookies out or do your own creative recipe, share them online and tag me, I'd love to see them!" Even though almost none of the ingredients were measured and Brie had no plan, the cookies still came out all right, and we feel like that's a pretty good metaphor for 2020.

After watching her make a vegetarian version of Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supreme using a truly enormous zucchini from her garden, we should have known Brie doesn't need a recipe to make something that looks pretty dang delicious. See Brie bake up some sweet cookies here, and keep an eye out for more cooking-related videos on her YouTube channel in the near future.
