Whole Foods stocks a whole hell of a lot of really delicious chocolates, in case you weren't aware. Many of the brands in the store use the highest quality of ingredients, which make for a delicious treat any time of day. The various candies have a whole host of ingredients in them, whether it's ginger, coconut, or even habanero salt. As a lover of all things chocolate, I've slowly eaten my way through pretty much everything Whole Foods has to offer, and these are the 12 candies you should be grabbing from the candy aisle on your next trip to the store. Trust me.

01
Lake Champlain Chocolates Toffee & Almond Crunch

Lake Champlain Chocolates' Toffee & Almond Crunch chocolate bar ($5) has just that little hint of salt to balance out the sweetness of the toffee. The chocolate flavor is super rich and balanced well with the toffee flavor.

02
Green & Black's Ginger

If you like strong ginger flavor, the Green & Black Ginger bar ($4) is for you. The ginger essence will give you a good bite, but it blends really well with the bitter dark chocolate.

03
Hu Kitchen Hazelnut Butter Dark Chocolate

Hu Kitchen's Hazelnut Butter Dark Chocolate bar ($7) might be Paleo, but it's just as creamy, smooth, and rich as any other chocolate bar. The hazelnut filling melts in your mouth and isn't overpowered by the chocolate coating.

04
Justin's Peanut Butter Cups

Justin's Peanut Butter Cups

The classic Justin's Peanut Butter Cups ($2) are a solid, reasonably priced candy option. They taste a little more natural than a Reese's Cup and not quite as sweet, which is a plus in my book. The peanut butter is smooth, and the chocolate is really buttery.

05
Eating Evolved Coconut Butter Cups Mint Cream

The Eating Evolved Coconut Butter Cups Mint Cream ($3) are made with real coconut products, and you can certainly tell. The coconut filling has a flavor that just explodes in your mouth and is complemented well by the mint.

06
Theo Coconut Mint

These little Theo Coconut Mint bites ($3) taste just like a minty Mounds. The coconut filling is creamy with a bit of texture from the coconut pieces, and the thin chocolate coating is soft and creamy as well.

07
Alter Eco Salted Caramel Truffles

Alter Eco's Salted Caramel Truffles ($9) have a little bit of a bitey texture to them thanks to the salt. The caramel filling isn't overly gooey or sweet, which pairs well with the salt and chocolate coating.

08
Mast Goat Milk Chocolate

If you only pick up one candy bar from Whole Foods, make it the Mast Goat Milk Chocolate bar ($8). The goat milk makes this solid chocolate bar unbelievably creamy and rich, and you're going to be reaching for goat milk candy every day of your life after this.

09
Madécasse Salted Almond Dark Chocolate

Madécasse Salted Almond Dark Chocolate

The salt in the Madécasse Salted Almond Dark Chocolate ($4) is very subtle, and the almond pieces inside are very small, so if texture is what you seek, this isn't necessarily it. However, the flavor is well balanced, and the chocolate is creamy.

10
Alter Eco Dark Quinoa

Alter Eco Dark Quinoa

Though the Alter Eco Dark Quinoa bar ($4) is just 60 percent cocoa, this bar is way on the bitter side, which is not a bad thing. It has a bite to it, and the crispy toasted quinoa inside gives you a good crunch.

11
Fine & Raw Habanero Salt

Fine & Raw Habanero Salt

The Fine & Raw Habanero Salt ($9) has a mighty kick to it. You immediately feel the heat, though not overwhelmingly so, as soon as you take a bite. It sticks with you but is toned down mightily thanks to the creaminess of the chocolate.

12
Divine 70% Dark Chocolate and Mint

Divine 70% Dark Chocolate and Mint

Divine's 70% Dark Chocolate and Mint ($2) has a good little snap to it when you break it into pieces. The 70 percent cacao is surprisingly milky for as dark as it is, and the mint flavor is very subtle.
