Chip and Joanna Gaines are a power couple in action. The dynamic duo are business owners, authors, TV stars, designers, and parents of five kids. Between their Hearth & Hand line at Target, their entire Magnolia brand — including a TV network — and all of the projects that lie in between, it's hard to imagine the pair having a spare moment to sit down and relax. Yet, they certainly make their busy lives work, and do it all with a seemingly positive attitude.

It's no secret that Chip and Joanna are passionate about all they've built — from their family to their homes and now their thriving businesses. So for the couple's most recent project, we weren't surprised to hear they were collaborating with James Hardie, a well-known exterior design brand, on 16 Joanna-infused siding options that are available in panel, shingle, and plank styles. "We've used Hardie siding for over 20 years with our construction business, so it wasn't something that we didn't know about," Joanna tells POPSUGAR. "We are big fans. We truly believe in this product, and so it made sense to do this."

The couple often reminisce on their Waco, TX, home remodels — even those from before their hit TV show "Fixer Upper" dominated HGTV — they drive by and see how their homes are doing years later. "To be able to look back even 20 years ago and see these houses still look great because of the quality of the product is nice to see," Joanna says. "We jog down memory lane and the kids roll their eyes."

Aside from homes, we got a chance to talk to Chip and Joanna about the product obsessions currently on their radar. From Joanna's favorite pair of jeans to the western boots that Chip's worn for years, these are the must-have items the couple reach for most.

Joanna's Affordable Must Have: Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black Brown

When it comes to product loyalty, something she won't budge on is her Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black Brown ($7). She's used this eyeliner since she was a teenager, and it's been a staple of her makeup routine. "I'm always scared, you never know if they're going to one day decide to change it, so I'm always like, 'Should I just buy the whole line?' Because I don't have another option."

Pro Tip: The eyeliner is waterproof and stays on for up to 24 hours without smudging. For waterproof makeup like eyeliner, oil-based makeup removers are the best way to go. They're gentle, and they won't leave any stains on the skin.

Chip's Affordable Must Have: Fresh Clean Threads White Crew Neck

If you're wondering what Chip is wearing under his flannels and button-up tops, it's most likely this Fresh Clean Threads White Crew Neck ($19). In fact, Chip has a subscription. "After a few days of wearing them they always turn a really unique shade of yellow," Chip jokes. Hence why his subscription is necessary — he gets a new package of three every month.

Pro Tip: If you purchase a subscription you save more money per shirt. For example, a three-pack of white shirts is $57, but with a subscription, it's $44. This makes a great gift for a significant other or family member.

Joanna's Investment Must Have: Mother The Weekender Fray

The pants Joanna is currently loving (and probably wearing as you read this): Mother's The Weekender Fray ($228). The jeans are flared, comfortable, casual, stretchy, and midrise. She explains, "I wear them, not often, I wear them every day. Chip is just like, 'Are you serious?' And I'm like, 'Because they just fit right,' you know?"

Pro Tip: If you want these jeans to stay in tip-top condition, it's best to wash them on a cold cycle then let them hang dry. That way, they keep their color and don't lose their shape.

Chip's Investment Must Have: Ariat Rambler Patriot Western Boots

Both Joanna and Chip have beloved staples that they never want to take off. For Chip, his favorite investment is his pair of Ariat Rambler Patriot Western Boots ($190). He wears them "every day, all day." The boots are lightweight and durable and come with an embossed leather flag on the front and back. "These things are bad to the bone."

Pro Tip: The boots take a minute to break in, so make sure you give them a grace period before you judge their comfortability. Once they mold to your feet, they will become one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes you own.

Joanna's Morning-Routine Must Have: Nutpods Creamer

Joanna pairs Nutpods Creamer ($14) with her Magnolia Press coffee every morning. In fact, she even ran to her refrigerator to show me the product herself. The creamer is dairy free and made from almonds and coconuts.

Pro Tip: Although it doesn't contain dairy, this creamer is still very creamy. We recommend a light hand when pouring this into your cup of coffee in the morning.

Chip's Morning-Routine Must Have: Yeti Rambler

Chip and Joanna drink the same coffee every morning (and most likely use the same creamer), but one thing that differentiates the pair is the mugs they sip out of. Chip puts his coffee in this Yeti Rambler ($38) every morning; that way he can take it on the go without worry. The Yeti mug can fit inside cup holders, is leak resistant, and will keep coffee hot.

Pro Tip: The Yeti mug is dishwasher safe, so once you're done using it, simply throw it in the dishwasher so it's nice and clean the next day.

Joanna's Sleep Must Have: Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw

If you're wondering what Joanna cuddles up with at night, aside from Chip, it's this Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw ($147). She calls it her "adult baby blanket." Its fabric is extra soft and resistant to pilling, shrinking, and wrinkling, so you can have it for years. It comes in six color options, so you can choose one that suits your home best.

Pro Tip: This blanket is made of 100 percent polyester and is machine washable, so don't be afraid to throw it in the wash when it starts to get dirty.

Chip's Sleep Must Have: Modern Huntsman

To wind down Chip's brain at night, he reads Modern Huntsman ($35-$40). The magazine delivers two volumes a year with over 200 pages each that are printed on thick matte stock paper. The magazine showcases photography and written stories about the outdoors from creatives around the world and looks as pretty as an art portfolio.

Pro Tip: The magazine provides exclusive offers and giveaways to subscribers only and has nine total volumes. Delivering two volumes a year, it would take over four years to finish this subscription.

Joanna's Shoe Must Have: Birkenstock Arizonas

If you're wondering what shoe Joanna can't get enough of, it shouldn't be a surprise that it's her Birkenstock Arizonas ($140). Joanna wears her Birkenstocks all the time, and this particular pair happens to be a classic style that matches well with anything. The shoes conform to your feet and can be worn all day thanks to their soft and cushioned footbed.

Pro Tip: The sandals are technically walking shoes and mold to your feet for support and comfort. Opt for these over sneakers for your next hot girl walk — you won't regret it.

Joanna's Bonus Must Have: Oribe Obsessed Set

If you're wondering how Joanna's hair looks so voluminous and bouncy all the time, we asked, and she says this Oribe Obsessed Set ($49) plays a big part. The set uses restorative ingredients to protect and moisturize hair. The result? Ultrasoft hair — I mean, just look at Joanna's.

Pro Tip: The set's dry texturizing spray also works as a dry shampoo for days that your hair could use a small boost. It applies clearly, so there won't be any residue left over.
