On the same day as President Donald Trump's absurd CPAC speech, Hillary Clinton released a video message on behalf of the Democratic party, calling for unity, resistance against the GOP, and support for Democratic candidates. She thanked the American people for being "united, energized, and ready to engage and win the battles ahead" and called for them to "keep marching and tweeting" in the name of grassroots activism.

The former presidential nominee applauded those who have participated in the Women's March and protests against Trump's travel ban as well as the constituents who have spoken up at town hall meetings, saying that future mayors, city and state officials, members of Congress, and even future presidents were among them. "We as Democrats must move forward with courage, confidence, and optimism and stay focused on the elections we must win this year and next," she said.

Clinton's video comes the day before the DNC is expected to elect the next party chair. "Let resistance and persistence equal progress for our party and our country," she said. "As long as we stand together and work together, our best days are still ahead."

She also thanked those who supported her throughout the election, calling her candidacy the "honor of a lifetime."

"So keep fighting and keep the faith," she ended the message. "And I'll be right there with you every step of the way."
