This Year's Conservative Convention Schedule Sounds More Like an SNL Script

The jokes write themselves.

The Conservative Political Action Conference recently released its official schedule and it reads as if they hired Saturday Night Live's writers to title the speeches. President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Senator Ted Cruz, and contentious Chief White House Strategist Steve Bannon are all scheduled to speak among other Conservative firebrands at the political conference that begins Feb. 23. Lasting four days, CPAC is an annual meeting of conservatives founded in 1973. It is the self-described "birthplace of modern conservatism."

Here's a preview of some of the billed talks:

  • "The Alt Right Ain't Right at All"
  • "Fake Climate News Camouflaging an Anti-Capitalist Agenda — and What President Trump Plans to Do About It"
  • "Fake News and the Lame Stream Media"
  • "FREE Stuff vs FREE-dom: Millennials' Love Affair With Bernie Sanders"
  • "When Did WWIII Begin? Part A: Threats at Home"
  • "Black Lives Matter, So Why Does the Left Not Support Law Enforcement?"
  • "If Heaven Has a Gate, a Wall, and Extreme Vetting, Why Can't America?"

Take a look at the entire 12 page schedule for yourself — comedic relief awaits.

CPAC found itself in hot water for initially booking the now-disgraced former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos to speak at the conference; his appearance was canceled after a video of him appearing to defend pedophilia surfaced online.

If CPAC is anything like the Republican National Convention was last Summer, we're anticipating quite the entrance from regular CPAC attendee President Donald Trump — smoke machines, light show, and all.
