A Blind Artist Created These Insanely Gorgeous GIFs

Damn, this is beautiful. Graphic designer George Redhawk has been turning photos into GIFs using computer software not in spite of but because he is legally blind. His collection of work is titled "The World Through My Eyes" and is meant to reflect the morphing images that his brain sees after suddenly going blind while working in medicine.

"It's an artistic expression of the confusion I go through with my vision loss," Redhawk told Vice's The Creators Project. "Not enough data getting sent to the brain, and it tries to fill in the blanks with false information, so you can't trust what your eyes or brain are telling you."

Redhawk's GIFs cover everything from stunning beauty looks to stone sculptures and all are equally as mesmerizing thanks to their looping patterns. Ahead, you can find some of our favorites, but check out the full collection over on Redhawk's Google+ page.
