Let's be honest: we watch Virgin River as much for the stunning locations as we do for the swoon-worthy romance and small-town drama. Netflix's hit series is set in the fictional town of Virgin River, but the beautiful views of rivers, mountains, old houses, and adorable small businesses are all very real. For the most part, the show, like many others, films in and around Vancouver, and the city is one step ahead of us all: it's even got a ready-made guide to seeing some of the most notable Virgin River filming locations! We're seriously a little jealous of the cast and crew who got to spend time working in these stunning places, but we can at least enjoy a brief digital tour with these gorgeous pictures of where the show has filmed so far. Keep reading to see them all now, and hopefully we get many more spots to add to our travel bucket list in season three.
Snug Cove, Bowen Island
Those beautiful exterior shots that give us an overview of the vistas of Virgin River are actually of Snug Cove on Bowen Island near West Vancouver. According to Vancouver's tourism bureau, Virgin River used several exterior locations for filming, including the town's main street, library, and Artisan Lane.
The Watershed Grill
For several scenes, the show filmed in nearby Squamish, with beautiful mountain and river views. You'll particularly recognize The Watershed Grill, which doubles as Jack Sheridan's bar.
Shannon Falls Provincial Park
If you're looking for the stunning waterfall that features in some of Virgin River's memorable scenes, head to Shannon Falls Provincial Park, where water falls from over 1,100 feet!
Hart House
Several scenes were filmed in the community areas in and around Hart House, a local restaurant and event venue.
Samz Pub
Production spent some time in the nearby town of Port Coquitlam, where they filmed in a few local businesses. In one scene, Jack and Melinda visit a pub, which, in real life, is Samz Pub.
Murdo Frazer Cabin
It's the most iconic part of the whole show: Melinda's home in Virgin River. The actual cabin is in Murdo Frazer Park in North Vancouver. Virgin River isn't the first show to film at the cabin, either: Vancouver's tourism site notes that Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, and The Flash have all filmed here, too!
Fraser Foreshore Park
For a scene featuring a local food-truck setup, Virgin River set up filming at Fraser Foreshore Park, a riverside park in Burnaby.
Breezehurst
