Everyone Tom Hiddleston Has Dated, From Taylor Swift to Zawe Ashton

Tom Hiddleston has made headlines for his blockbuster films and TV shows over the years, but when it comes to his love life, he's only had a few confirmed romances — including a whirlwind three-month fling with Taylor Swift. More recently, he seems to be settling down with Zawe Ashton. The pair were first linked in 2019, and their first child was born in the summer of 2022.

Though Hiddleston only has a few confirmed romances to his name to date, the dating rumors have never stopped swirling over the course of his career. The actor has been linked to a variety of very successful women, including "Sherlock" actress Lara Pulver in July 2013 and record producer Jane Arthy at the Wimbledon finals that same month. Even though he was spotted getting cozy with the two women, he was never photographed with them again.

He has also been attached to quite a few of his leading ladies; not only did he hold hands with his "Thor" costar Kat Dennings at Comic-Con in 2010, but he also had undeniable chemistry with Elizabeth Olsen during their press tour for "I Saw the Light" in 2015. However, Olsen quickly shut down the gossip mill by bluntly telling Refinery 29 that they were definitely not dating.

Susannah Fielding (2008-2011)

Hiddleston's first publicly confirmed girlfriend was his "Wallander" costar Susannah Fielding. The two dated for a few years but eventually broke up in 2011, when Hiddleston reportedly decided to focus on his career. Following their split, he explained to Daily Mail, "Acting just demands everything and if you don't give it everything, there will be someone behind you who will."

Taylor Swift (2016)

Hiddleston caused quite the fan frenzy when he dated Taylor Swift in 2016. They were first linked when they were seen dancing at the Met Gala that May, and went on to share a whirlwind romance. In 2013, Hiddleston told GQ that he'd tell people if he was actually dating anyone, and this certainly proved true with Swift. Not only did he practically wear his heart on his sleeve during their picture-perfect outings together, but he even shut down conspiracy rumors by stating that they were "not a publicity stunt" back in July 2016. However, they ultimately called it quits three months later.

Zawe Ashton (2019-Present)

In 2019, Hiddleston was first linked to Zawe Ashton, who starred alongside him in the West End's "Betrayal" that year. The pair made their red carpet debut at the Tony Awards in 2021 and held hands on the red carpet at the BAFTAs in March 2022. That same month, People confirmed Hiddleston had proposed to Ashton. In the summer of 2022, the pair welcomed their first child. More recently, they attended Wimbledon in July 2023.
