The Team Is Heading to New York

In 2001, Los Angeles-based The Fast and the Furious set the tone for the series, but as Vin Diesel confirmed, it was originally going to take place in New York City. This time around, they're going back to where it was supposed to all begin: the Big Apple.

. . . And Cuba!

Diesel took to Instagram to show off the set — in Cuba! He teased that it's where the Torettos started, which means they're either returning home, or we might be getting an origin story.

Since Paul Walker's tragic passing in 2013, Vin Diesel stated that "Furious 7 was for Paul, 8 is from Paul." Hopefully we'll find out what that means soon enough.

06

It Will Be a "Very Dark Road"

While wrapping up production on xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, Diesel shared a simple black-and-white picture, captioning it with details about Fast 8. "One more week of playing Xander," he wrote. "Then I will transition into a darker place. Enjoying this fun, extreme and irreverent character while it lasts, but the Dom state is pulling at me . . . and the next chapter in the fast saga will be a dark, a very dark road."
