Keeping with the theme of self-healing, Enlightened focuses on a high strung corporate businesswoman named Amy Jellicoe (Laura Dern), who is newly reformed after returning from a wellness retreat. On her first day back, Amy is greeted with a demotion, which pushes her newly found zen to its limits. While this series isn't so much a thriller, it does harp on the same themes of self-reflection and rebirth found in Nine Perfect Strangers.
