Laurie Hernandez Learning a Dance From The Nutcracker Will Give You All the Christmas Cheer

Laurie Hernandez is impossible not to love. Between her sassy (and medal-winning) poses at the Olympics, and her winning dance routines on Dancing With the Stars, watching the 16-year-old gymnast is always sure to make you smile. This new video from Teen Vogue is no exception, as Laurie cheerfully learns a scene from The Nutcracker from New York City Ballet dancers.

In the cute clip, Laurie admits that ballet is nothing she's tried before, as she adorably pirouettes and sashays her way through the routine — later, she fesses up to being sore for a few days post-ballet lesson. Regardless of Laurie's lack of experience, her beautiful form through the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" is definitely putting us in the cheeriest of holiday spirits.
