Celebrity hairstylist DJ Quintero foreshadowed a major haircut on his Instagram account tonight, but it was all a huge prank! It's been confirmed that Katie Holmes's shiny new bob is actually a wig. Still — the look is chic. Designer Zac Posen revealed the big "chop" on his Instagram account. Katie's coif falls right at her jawline and features blunt bangs. We have to wonder — was her look inspired by tonight's Met Gala host, Anna Wintour? Or perhaps daughter Suri Cruise motivated the style. Either way, Katie looks elegant in her swingy, fresh 'do.
To style the wig, DJ applied Alterna Haircare Caviar CC Cream ($25) to the ends of Katie's damp hair. Then, using a round brush, he blew her hair dry, keeping the front and side pieces straight.
