They began dating in 1999, though didn't officially confirm the relationship until a year later. In 2002, they parted ways, leaving a trail of multiple cryptic breakup songs in their wake.

The two first met on the set of Hilary's hit show, Lizzie McGuire, in 2001 and dated for almost two years before Aaron started dating Lindsay Lohan — at the same time.
