If you were ever mesmerized by holograms as a child, then you know they can be pretty complicated to create. Luckily, Imgur user EricCasavant found a way to make these cool light fields that doesn't require a 50-page instruction manual. All you need are a smartphone, some tape, plastic, and two minutes of your time. Without any knowledge of tech at all, anyone can easily create their own hologram by following the instructions ahead.
Cut four trapezoids out of plastic packaging (or a CD case, which you will need a knife or glass cutter for).
Tape the edges together.
Go on YouTube from your phone and find a hologram video like this one. Then place your plastic creation on top of your phone.
