There are several people who think that 2016 was a particularly rough year. But for people on Instagram, that may not be the case. According to Instagram, #Love was the most popular hashtag in 2016 — winning that number one spot again for the third year in a row! A quick search of the hashtag on Instagram will pull more than 900,000,000 results, with people expressing love for a place, person, meme, and more. Since people use #love in so many different ways, it's not surprising that it won again. Maybe one year we'll see something different!
