Bella Hadid's Blunt Micro Bangs Are the Definition of Edgy

Leave it to Bella Hadid to make one of the most divisive haircut trends look chic. The model just debuted micro bangs, also known as baby bangs, following in the footsteps of Hunter Schafer, Zoë Kravitz, Charlize Theron, and dozens of other celebrities who've experimented with the bold look. Hadid snapped several Instagram selfies showing off her new bangs, which are cut bluntly and hit well above her eyebrows, before celebrating agent Luiz Mattos's masquerade-themed 50th birthday party in New York City. She wore a corseted paint-splattered top, a matching skirt, smoky eyeshadow, and inner-corner cat-eye eyeliner for the occasion.

Hairstylist Evanie Frausto created the edgy hairstyle for Hadid, giving her a slicked-back high ponytail and adding two longer face-framing pieces of hair on each side to balance out the shortness of her bangs. It's hard to tell if they're clip-ins like the bangs Megan Fox rocked at the 2021 Met Gala or the result of an actual haircut, but either way, she looks like a total badass.

Hadid's latest transformation is a noticeable change from the wispy, side-swept bangs she had in May at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2022, she's switched up her look several other times, sporting a "mixie" haircut for a Michael Kors campaign shoot and bleached eyebrows for Versace's Milan Fashion Week runway show.
