Kendall Jenner Has 4 Tattoos, but 1 Is Impossible to See

If you didn't realize Kendall Jenner has tattoos, you're definitely not alone. The model has added new meaning to the phrase hidden tattoos. Jenner's three most visible designs are so discreet that you can't see them from a distance, and her fourth tattoo is so well hidden that she even managed to keep it a secret from her mom, Kris Jenner, for a few months.

It's unclear whether Jenner has plans to get many more tiny tattoos in the future, but in August 2022, after taking a long hiatus, she did add a new one of a cowboy boot to her ankle no larger than the size of a quarter. Even though it's still discreetly placed, it's much more easily spotted than the rest of her ink. Maybe this is a sign that she's changing her style.

Though her collection is growing, her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, still has her beat — Kylie has six tattoos that we know of. Khloé Kardashian, on the other hand, also has four (including a matching tattoo with mom Kris Jenner), while Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian are both ink free.

Kendall Jenner's Cowboy-Boot Tattoo

On Aug. 3, 2022, Jenner visited tattoo artist Kate McDuffie to get a tiny cowboy boot tattooed on the inside of her left ankle. The design appears to be smaller than a dime and in all-black ink.

Kendall Jenner's "Meow" Tattoo

During a March 2018 appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Jenner opened up about her biggest (and most regrettable) tattoo: the "meow" inked on the inside of her lip. Apparently, the model got the inner-lip tattoo all the way back in July 2016 after a few too many drinks with friends, but she kept it a secret until that September, when JonBoy posted a pic of her new ink on Instagram. According to Allure, she also spilled the beans about her secret tattoo during her photo shoot for the magazine's October 2016 issue.

Nearly two years later, Jenner confessed to DeGeneres that the decision hadn't been well-thought-out. "[The word 'meow'] was literally the first thing that came to my mind, like, I don't know! Just like my drunk thoughts," she said. The good news: it didn't hurt. Of her inner lip, she said, "It's just fattiness — or is it muscle? . . . bone hurts really bad."

Kendall Jenner's Broken-Heart Tattoo

In August 2015, not long after getting her first tat, Jenner and Bieber decided to get matching heart tattoos on the inside of their left middle fingers, with Bieber opting for red and Jenner choosing white. The hearts were drawn to look like two halves of a heart-shaped friendship necklace, and Jenner explained the meaning of her two tiny tattoos in an April 2016 blog post, which has since been deleted. "The one on my right hand is a full heart to represent an angel and my left is a broken heart — kind of like the devil side," she wrote. Bieber posted a Snapchat of their matching tats soon after they got them, but Jenner has never shared any pics of the ink.

Kendall Jenner's White-Dot Tattoo

Jenner's first tattoo was a tiny white dot tattooed on the middle finger of her right hand, courtesy of celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenner accompanied her pal Hailey Bieber to the NYC tattoo parlor in June 2015, where Bieber was getting a tiny "g" tattoo behind her left ear. Not wanting to miss out, Jenner and her friend Joe Termini each got a microscopic dot of white ink on their fingers.

In August 2015, JonBoy explained the meaning of the white dot to Refinery29. "To [Jenner], it's the little things that matter," he said. "And the white color was because she didn't want it to show with modeling and all that." The model told Ellen DeGeneres in March 2018 that she got the tattoo out of curiosity. "I just wanted to know what it felt like," she said. "All my friends have them so I wanted to know what it feels like. You can't see it but that's kind of the point." Later on, Jenner had the white dot turned into a small white heart, though it's unclear when that happened.
