Raquel Welch and Patrick Curtis
Actress Raquel Welch, who reached the height of her fame in the '60s and '70s, was one of the first big stars to wed in the City of Light. Wearing a crocheted dress and a white fur coat, she and Hollywood producer Patrick Curtis exchanged vows in February 1967 at Paris's City Hall. Sadly, their French connection wasn't a lasting one, and they split in 1972.
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher
It should come as no surprise that this notoriously private couple had an incredibly intimate wedding. After a six-year engagement, the pair said "I do" during a traditional Jewish ceremony attended by only six guests on March 15, 2010 in Paris. According to Australia's WHO magazine, Isla and Sacha gave their guests "very little notice" of what was about to happen, so it all came together rather quickly. They now share three children: Olive, Elula, and Montgomery.
Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito
Bradley and Jennifer wed in December 2007 in a small ceremony in the South of France. Their honeymoon stage didn't last long, though, and the actress filed for divorce just five months later.
Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats
Alicia married the rapper on the French island of Corsica on July 31, 2010. The singer was pregnant with their first child, son Egypt, who was born in October of that year.
Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley
While it's never been confirmed, Tom and Charlotte were rumored to have tied the knot in a secret ceremony in the South of France in July 2014.
Eva Longoria and Tony Parker
On July 7, 2007, Eva married the French-born NBA player in a civil ceremony in Paris on Friday, following by a religious ceremony at the Church of Saint Germain l'Auxerrois on Saturday. The reception was held at Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 17th century castle outside the city. Before their divorce in 2011, Tony and Eva often enjoyed time in his native country, but the fairy tale came to an end in part due to his infidelity.
Eva arrived to the Paris City Hall the day before her religious ceremony.
Mark Ronson and Josephine de la Baume
Music producer Mark Ronson married Josephine in September 2011 in Aix-en-Provence, France. Many of Mark's famous relatives came out, including his sisters Samantha, Charlotte, and Annabelle.
He was decked out in a red and white seersucker suit for the ceremony, while Josephine's dress was made by pal Zac Posen.
There were other well-known guests at the event, including models Irina Lazareanu and Charlotte Kemp Muhl and her boyfriend, Sean Lennon. Kate Moss and Lily Allen apparently turned out, too.
Keira Knightley and James Righton
Keira Knightley married James Righton in France in May 2013. They wed in the small village of Mazan at the town hall with just a small group of family and friends there to witness. Later that evening, they hosted a party at Keira's family's farmhouse in Provence. Keira wore a short dress paired with a chic jacket for the nuptials. In fact, Keira's Chanel dress was first seen on her in 2008! She polished off the look with a headpiece made of flowers.
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger tied the knot in the South of France on July 1, 2013, after a few days of festivities with friends and family. Although the ceremony took place abroad, the couple chose to marry on Canada Day, July 1, in honor of their native country. Avril wore a flowing white dress and flower crown for the prewedding event, while Chad was dressed up in a suit. For the nuptials, however, Avril changed into a strapless black gown.
Over their destination wedding weekend, Chad and Avril also spent an afternoon in the sun lounging on a yacht, where Avril enjoyed one of France's best pleasures: Rosé wine. While the couple announced their plans to divorce in September 2015, they've recently been spending a lot of time together, leading some fans to believe they've reconciled.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez
The two actors made things official in July 2013, tieing the knot in a 4 p.m. civil ceremony, followed by a larger bash at a chateau located in Burgundy. Halle was expecting their son, Maceo, who was born in October of that year.
