The Title

Tom Holland, who's notorious for accidentally revealing MCU-related spoilers, had some fun with his reputation when he announced the sequel's title. On June 23, the actor revealed to Instagram that he finally got his hands on a script for the film. Although he apologized to fans for not having any other "real revelations coming," Holland quickly flashed an iPad screen which revealed the next installment will be titled Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The Plot

Far From Home seemingly takes place after Endgame, with a totally corporeal Peter Parker doing his thing back home in New York City. He and his friends embark on an epic Summer vacation with a school trip to Europe. Amid the typical high school shenanigans and a budding romance with MJ, Peter is recruited by Nick Fury to handle the latest threat to the world — the Elementals. He meets Quentin Beck, the villainous Mysterio, who has actually also been recruited by Fury to help stop them. Considering how the two get on in the comic books, we're sure that's going to go down well.

The Cast

Thankfully, Far From Home welcomes back all your favorites from Homecoming! Of course Tom Holland is back in his Spidey tights; Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, and Jacob Batalon all reprise their roles as Michelle "MJ" Jones, May Parker, and Ned. Tony Revolori brings back Peter's school-rival-slash-Spidey-fanboy Eugene "Flash" Thompson, Jon Favreau is back as Happy Hogan, and Hemky Madera returns as our favorite bodega owner, Mr. Delmar.

Of course, no superhero film works without their bad guy. Jake Gyllenhaal joins the Far From Home cast as Quentin Beck, the classic comic book villain known as Mysterio. Michael Keaton also makes a reappearance as Adrian Toomes, which has us wondering if the Vulture will be up to no good once again.
