Tennis Player Ashleigh Barty Is the Best Aunt, and Here's the Proof

Ashleigh Barty may have had a disappointing end to her time in the Australian Open, but the Aussie tennis star had a positive outlook, thanks to her baby niece! Barty brought her 11-week-old niece, Olivia, as her "guest" to the press conference following her surprise 7-6, 7-5 loss to Sofia Kenin. She used this unconventional moment to shift focus and, in the process, set a fantastic example of a positive outlook following a disappointment.

In her postmatch interview, Barty bounced her baby niece on her lap and explained that Olivia was proof of all the things that matter outside of just winning a sports game. "This is what life's all about — it's amazing," she said. "Perspective is a beautiful thing. Life is a beautiful thing. She brought a smile to my face as soon as I came off the court. I got to give her a hug. It's all good." Ahead, you can see all the adorable pictures of Ashleigh with her niece (and what we assume baby Olivia was thinking!) — it'll definitely bring a smile to your face, too!
