Princess Diana's Wedding Shoes Had a Romantic Message Only She Could See

When you're marrying the love of your life, you find all the little ways to make your wedding day outfits extra special. Princess Diana made sure no details were left unnoticed on her bridal ensemble, including the heels. (FYI: She wore this dramatic Elizabeth and David Emanuel white gown). Meanwhile, the shoes were designed by Clive Shilton and had a low heel (because the princess was 5'10"). They were covered in 542 sequins and 132 pearls.

If you thought that was already extravagant, Princess Diana went the extra step and had her and Prince Charles' names engraved on the bottom sole. The message read "C" and "D" with a heart in the middle. "No one even saw the bottom of the shoes, but it was important to us that they looked fantastic," said Shilton. It seems Princess Diana had a knack for sending hidden messages with her outfits. This particular one though, all brides will love.
