Pecan Pie M&M's Are Back — but You Definitely Want to Read the Reviews First!

Pecan Pie M&M's are no new treat. The delicious snack first hit shelves in 2015, before the days of over-the-top food hybrids like edible cookie dough bars or egg and cheese stuffed waffles. But the holiday chocolate recently made a triumphant return to shelves, and we're pumped. With seasonal flavors like White Pumpkin Pie and Cookies & Screeem, it only makes sense to bring back the classic Thanksgiving flavor. Because everything tastes better mixed with chocolate and stuffed in a hard shell, right?

Well, Instagram junk food aficionado junkbanter can't say the same. After spotting the revived flavor at Walmart, the food reviewer was disappointed with how much it didn't taste like Pecan Pie, but they liked them "for whatever reason." Giving the snack a six rating, they explained the flavor as "vaguely maple but mostly chocolate."

For us, that "vague" flavor sounds ideal. Sometimes the sugar-filled snack can be too rich when combined with a strong flavor like Pecan Pie, so we are not mad about the hint of maple. Pick up the Pecan Pie M&M's at Walmart exclusively, and decide for yourself just how flavorful a handful of these is.
