It seems every time we turn around, a new label is launching. Not that we're complaining: one of the best parts of fashion is the steady stream of newness to get excited about. That said, with so much to choose from, it can be difficult for a brand to make its mark, which is what makes successful standout labels all the more impressive.

To celebrate another successful year of style, we took a look back at 2018 fashion and compiled a list of the collections that really had in-the-know girls going gaga. Some may already be in your closet while others you might just be getting familiar with, but all of the style brands ahead belong on your radar.

01

Rouje

Model Jeanne Damas's label Rouje has simplified French-girl dressing — and made it affordable. The brand's vintage-inspired knits as well as silky blouses and dresses are the stuff effortless It-girl style is made of. That's likely why Selena Gomez, Sienna Miller, Dakota Johnson, and more made the brand a 2018 must-know.

Our Pick

The Gabin Dress ($195) is a staple in the collection and is offered in a variety of prints and sleeve lengths (Selena has the long-sleeve version in burgundy).

02

Ganni

This Danish brand was launched by a husband-and-wife duo in 2009, but in 2018 the label — and Scandi style as a whole — really hit its stride. Hailey Bieber, Beyoncé, Dakota Johnson, and Lily Aldridge are all counted among its celeb fans, so suffice it to say, we can expect this ultrawearable contemporary brand to stick around for a while.

Shopbop

Our Pick

In 2018, fashion girls went wild for animal prints, and Ganni's Printed Crepe Button Down ($145) nails the trend in its trademark understated way.

03

Réalisation Par

Models made Réalisation Par a social media sensation, and Kaia Gerber made it stick. The flirty print-happy label even offers a deep v-neck blouse named "The Kaia" ($180), presumably after its patron saint, who's been spotted in the brand on multiple occasions.

Réalisation Par

Our Pick

All of Réalisation Par's pieces have an effortless, vintage-inspired vibe. Case in point: The Vivienne Nudité Dress ($250) that feels like a prize find from a thrift-store treasure hunt.

04

Miaou

New York-based punk-inspired label Miaou was literally born out of a thrift store purchase. Frustrated with the lack of options available for "real" women, designer Alexia Elkaim tailored a pair of vintage cropped jeans, which led to the launch of her celeb-loved line (Kaia Gerber, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, and Bella Hadid are all fans).

Shopbop

Our Pick

Miaou's pinstriped trousers were among the first pieces to hit big with the celeb set. Get an evening-ready update to the brand's trademark pants with the Piper Pinstripe Bustier Jumpsuit ($375).

05

Carolina Santo Domingo

Carolina Santo Domingo, the brains behind Staud's cult-favorite Bissett Bag, launched her namesake brand on Moda Operandi in 2017. In 2018, she cemented her status as It-bag designer extraordinaire as styles like the Corallina Raffia Tote flew off the shelves.

06

Unravel Project

Founded by Ben Taverniti in 2015, Unravel Project became a celebrity staple this year. The brand became widely known for its reworked streetwear basics (think bombers and distressed knits), thanks in part to a pair of leather lace-up pants that were spotted on street-style stars like Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Miranda Kerr.

07

GCDS

Launched by Giuliano Calza in 2015, GCDS emerged as a streetwear power player in 2018, counting celebrities, models, and influencers among its fan base (the Fall 2018 ad campaign starred Kali Uchis and Fetty Wap). The brand also recently launched beauty on its website, featuring lipsticks with names like Hype and Marijuana 4:20.

Our Pick

It doesn't get more streetwear than the Abracadabra Hoodie ($275, originally $475).

08

Sies Marjan

Sies Marjan debuted at New York fashion week in 2016. Creative color play is the brand's calling card, one that's attracted the likes of street style stars and fashion-forward celebs.

Our Pick

Black Panther star Danai Gurira rocked a version of the Ida Pleated Satin Dress ($1,606, originally $2,295) to a New York screening.

09
Les Rêveries

Les Rêveries

NYC-based brand Les Rêveries, founded by sisters Wayne Lee and Ai Ly, was among the first to be included in Net-a-Porter's emerging fashion talent program, The Vanguard. The collection strikes a just-right mix between frilly florals and silky dresses and streetwear essentials, like logo tees and track suits.

Our Pick

Wear the Ruffled Silk Crepe de Chine Mini Dress ($347, originally $495) on its own for a festive party look or go low-key by layering it over a turtleneck and tights.

10

Orseund Iris

New York-based label Orseund Iris rose to the top of the must-follow list in 2018. The seasonless collection offers sexy staple items with a twist, like knit tops with exposed bra cup details. It's an influencer's dream, hence why Kylie Jenner, Olivia Culpo, and Emily Ratajkowski have all sported the brand.

Our Pick

The Off Shoulder Knit in Red ($260) is how fashion girls do holiday dressing.

11
Neiman Marcus

Attico

Italian label Attico is opulent glamour minus the fuss. Founded by street style stars Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio, the collection is rife with luxe fabrications (like this Long-Sleeve Sequin and Velvet Robe Wrap Cocktail Dress, $1,792), including velvet and embellishment — perfect for party season.

Our Pick

Street style stars (unsurprisingly) gravitated to Attico's drawstring evening bags like this Full Sequin Drawstring Pouch ($246, originally $351) in 2018.

12

I.Am.Gia

Australian designer Alana Pallister's label I.Am.Gia is a favorite among models and celebrities. The clothing label is not only one of the rising stars of 2018's sexy streetwear obsesssion; it's also affordable, so dressing like Kylie Jenner just got a whole lot more accessible.

Our Pick

Channel your inner best sporty Spice in the sexy Paris Pant ($79).

13

Same Swim

Chances are you've seen Same Swim while scrolling through your Instagram feed. Designed by Shea Marie, the California-based swimwear line has graced the bods of influencers and starlets alike. Come for the fun details (like those in this The Catch Top, $205), stay for the classic silhouettes.

Our Pick

The Divine One Piece ($250) comes with a detachable flower so you can go classic or Carrie Bradshaw-inspired, depending on your mood.

14

Adornemonde

Adornemonde's goal is to "put the fashion back in jewelry" by delivering the off-duty model jewelry looks that don't cost a fortune (this Lathan Gold 925 Silver Choker is $108). By eliminating the middleman and selling directly online, they've done exactly that and created a legion of social-savvy fans.

Our Pick

The Nolan Crystal Earring Set ($92) is the perfect subtle add-on to any look.
