Customized Ninja Turtle NES Is Everything Good in This World

Think that classic Nintendo system you found at a garage sale is cool? It's got nothing on this customized, backlit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed NES. Ryan Fitzpatrick of Platinumfungi is the artist who made this dream of your childhood a grown-up reality. No detail was too small in perfecting the TMNT look on the NES body, says Ryan on his website. "The color palette is critical. I played around with about 20 different design ideas, but eventually locked in on a system that would resemble the turtles themselves."

Ryan created the design for the backlit turtles on the top of the console (without the help of a laser cutter, mind you), and had Custom NES Guy work on the console's paint job using auto grade paints.
