I'm so thankful that you have stopped by my page and would love to tell you a bit about why I started it. As a college student, I studied creative writing and literature with aspirations of working in publishing but ultimately wound up on Wall Street in order to pay off my student loans. While I did learn a lot during my years in finance, what I learned most was that I longed to become a mother and return to writing.
That was easier said than done. My husband and I suffered through 7 years of miscarriages and unexplained infertility before we were blessed with their miracle. I went through this before most of my friends were married or thinking about children and I went through a long period of isolation where I was acting happy on the outside but suffering tremendously.
During those 7 years I was going crazy having no explanation for what was wrong. I saw doctors across the country and was on lists for egg donors, sperm donors and surrogates when we did get pregnant on our last try with our own eggs/sperm/uterus. After my crash course in infertility medicine and I have in depth knowledge on all things infertility including infertility treatments, immunologic infertility, male infertility, surrogacy and egg donation. I would love to find a way to help other women navigate this complicated and private world and believe that I can begin to do this through sharing my journey.
I have never shared my story with friends or family so this outlet will be very special to me both emotionally and professionally as I venture back into writing.
