Drybar Dirty Martini Blowout
DIY Drybar's New Lazy-Girl Blowout

First, rough-dry your hair to take some of the moisture out — you want to keep a bit of your natural texture. Sea salt spray (see above) also adds extra texture if your hair is fine. Start smoothing out strands with a big round brush and blow dryer. Always work on the front first, especially if your hair is naturally curly (like mine!). "Cowlicks and widow's peaks get in the way," explains Drybar stylist Alice Ketchesom. "So you want to hit that at the start."
Use the round brush to create a loose wave in the midshaft of the hair. "You want an unstructured wave," adds Ketchesom. "It's not a spiral curl. You just want body with a little flip and movement at the ends." You can see the finished blowout here.
