Hole-Punch Nails Are Officially Here, and We Can't Stop Staring

When we first saw the hole-punch nail trend on the hands of "Let You Love Me" singer Rita Ora, we were intrigued. The tips of her manicure had heart-shaped holes in them and we had so many questions. Were these her natural nails? How did this happen? Most importantly, how can we get this hole-punch manicure in our lives?

The answer lies in gel extensions that Ora's nail artist, LA-based Britney Tokyo, collaborated on with Aprés Nail. While it seems like there are only heart-shaped cutouts so far, the hole-punch trend seems to be popular among other manicurists, so you should expect to see other shapes in the future.

Check out how fans are wearing the trend ahead.

On another client, Tokyo combined the hole-punch nails with a coral polish and seashell nail art.

Pop-Culture-Inspired Hole-Punch Nails

Some artists have been using their favorite characters to inspire nail art to go with their hole-punch nails, like this one based on Beauty and the Beast.

These light pink Sailor Moon-inspired nails feature one cutout nail, a "pierced" nail, and several small rhinestones.

Pastel Hole-Punch Nails

The hole-punch nails look especially sweet in pastel shades.

Adding a heart to an otherwise neutral manicure is a great way to amp up the fun.

The hole-punch trend is on stiletto-shaped nails in this manicure.

Rainbow Hole-Punch Nails

This manicure has each nail painted a different hue and a few hole-punch nails.

These rainbow jelly nails include a charm on the pinky.

The darker shade of the cobalt blue in this manicure really makes the hole-punch art pop.
