Zendaya's new haircut "refresh" is major goals. On Aug. 22, the actor posted a picture of herself on Instagram showing off her freshly styled look, and yes, you will probably be bringing this image with you to your next salon appointment. Since cutting her hair back in 2022, it seems the actor was due for an update. Written across the post-appointment photo shared on her Instagram Stories, Zendaya said she "needed a little refresh."

Her look by celebrity hairstylist Sarah Shears is in keeping with the bob haircut trend that dominated this summer. She kept her hair cropped short with the ends just grazing her shoulders. After a color touch-up and a light dusting, which is where dead ends are removed but more length is retained than with a trim, she added a few curls for more volume and opted for a side part. She paired the cut with a casual white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a simple black necklace.

Bobs have been a part of the summer '23 starter pack. The trend was set in motion by Hailey Bieber, who revealed her own version in early January. Since then, celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski, Kim Kardashian, and Cara Delevingne have all debuted different iterations, and trends like the Italian bob, the "job," and the inverted bob have been taking Tiktok by storm.

Though summer is coming to an end, a change of season is the perfect excuse for a hair reset. Whether you want a dusting like Zendaya or a more dramatic chop, you can't go wrong with a chic, short hairstyle. Take a closer look at Zendaya's hair below.
