I grew up in Panama, with a first generation French father, and was exposed to many culinary traditions while growing up. As an adult, I have become, in the words of my husband, a -food history nerd-. I am fascinated with the beautiful connection between food, its history and the culture in which it developed. Analida's Ethnic Spoon began when I started teaching classes in Latin American cooking at a local organic food market. I am thrilled to be sharing these passions with you in my little corner of the web.
