Ariana and Mac called it quits after almost two years together. Following the news of their split, Ariana confirmed the breakup on her Instagram Story.

Just days later, Pete revealed to Complex that he and his girlfriend of two years had also broken up. "We're not together anymore," Pete said, assuring fans that Cazzie would "be fine."

News broke in late May that Ariana and Pete had "just started" seeing each other casually.

Pete confirmed the reports a few days later when he shared a since deleted photo of him and Ariana on Instagram wearing Harry Potter Hogwarts robes. "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened . . ." Pete captioned the snap.

Ariana followed suit a day later with a cuddly photo of her own. "I thought u into my life 💭," Ariana captioned it. "Woah! look at my mind 💡⚡️🙈."

Pete also decided to make things even more official with not one but two tattoos. The SNL star used Instagram to debut his new ink, which features a black bunny mask on the back of his left ear and Ariana's initials on his right thumb. Pete also made sure to cover up his arm tattoo of Cazzie's face before he popped the question to Ariana. How thoughtful, no?

A few days later, news broke that the pair were engaged. According to Us Weekly, Ariana and Pete "are not rushing to get married" and "their friends are really excited and supportive." Ariana casually debuted her engagement ring on her Instagram stories and celebrated on Twitter by responding to several fan tweets congratulating her and Pete. "I'm so happy and excited," Ariana replied in one tweet.

Pete and Ariana also celebrated their engagement by heading to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, with their family and friends. "She looked very happy," a source told E! News. "They all walked out and Ariana and Pete were holding hands."

The 24-year-old singer then brought her newly engaged bliss to iHeartRadio's Wango Tango show in LA.

The couple got matching hand tattoos of the acronym "H2GKMO," which stands for "Honest to God knock me out."

The couple then made things even more official by getting an apartment in NYC together. They were also spotted doing some furniture shopping at Restoration Hardware that same week.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the SNL actor openly discussed his engagement to Ariana saying, "It's so f*cking lit, Jimmy!"

The singer dedicated an entire song to her fiancé on her album Sweetener. In the lyrics for the song, which is titled "Pete Davidson," she talks about how happy she is in their relationship and how he's her soulmate.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Ariana told Jimmy that she had the "biggest crush" on Pete when they first met on Saturday Night Live. She even recalled how she jokingly told her tour manager that she was "marrying him, 100 percent." Apparently, it was love at first sight for Pete as well, as he told GQ that he knew he wanted to marry Ariana the day they met.
