Turns Out, Prince William Accidentally Revealed the Sex of the New Royal Baby Weeks Ago

Kate Middleton and Prince William formally announced that they're expecting their third child in September 2017, and people immediately began speculating about whether the baby would be a girl or boy. Well, now we finally have our answer! On Monday, the duchess gave birth to a baby boy weighing 8 lb. 7 oz. at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital. As the world celebrates the birth of the new prince, it seems like William accidentally revealed the baby's sex a few weeks ago.

Even though Will and Kate were reportedly leaving it up to surprise this time around, according to The Mirror, the prince dropped a major hint while attending a soccer game on April 11. "I'm going to insist the baby is called Jack," William reportedly told fans, before quickly adding, "Or Jackie."

While the couple has yet to announce the new royal baby's name, a few of the top predictions seem to be John, Thomas, and Charles, which of course, is the name of Prince William's father. One thing we do know for sure is that the new baby Cambridge is fifth in line for the throne, behind his older sister Princess Charlotte.
