A Look Back at Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan's Romance

After much speculation, Lori and Jordan confirmed their romance when they both shared photos of each other on Instagram. The model casually captioned her now-deleted post, "🤎."

February 2021: Lori shared a since-deleted sweet tribute for Jordan's 34th birthday on Instagram and revealed her adorable nickname for him in the process. "Happyyy Birthdayyy Nugget 🎂," she captioned the post. "I love you baby...hope today has been at least half as special as you are 🤍." Days later, Jordan rented out an entire aquarium to celebrate their first Valentine's Day together.

The couple then jetted off to a tropical location for a romantic getaway. Lori posted a video of her and Jordan kissing in a pool, writing, "Thank you God. 🤍" Jordan posted a similar video of the two watching the sunset on the beach, captioning it, "Best feeling in the world . . ."

Lori made her talk show interview debut on "The Real," where she opened up about the relationship. "We just really balance each other," she said. "I really do believe in the statement when they say, 'When you know you know.' And I think that really applies to our situation and we just have a really good time together."

The pair stepped out on the red carpet together for the first time at Vanity Fair's Oscars afterparty in March 2022.

A source confirmed the pair's split to People in June 2022. "Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken," the source said. "They still love each other Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time," adds the source. "They had great times together and brought out the best in each other."

Another source told the outlet that Harvey "wasn't ready to commit," adding that "she is very focused on her career." The source said that Harvey also "realized that they weren't on the same page" as she and Jordan "were making plans for their future." "She still wants to have fun and be free," the source added. "Michael is a great guy. She is sad that their relationship didn't work out, but she is moving on."

At that time, Lori's dad Steve shared his support for his daughter, saying he was "team Lori, 1,000 percent. She's my daughter. I love her, I support her" on his radio show, "The Steve Harvey Morning Show," per People. "Things happen," the TV host added. "It's hard to be young and in the limelight and have a successful relationship. Look, as long as everybody can walk away in peace, be friends . . ."

In a cover story with Essence, Lori expressed her discontent with constantly being talked about alongside another person instead of as an individual. "This moment is about me," she said. "I feel like it's always been [about] me attached to something or someone . . . I know my worth, and I know my value. I'm not going to compromise that, or settle, or accept anything less than what I know I deserve."

While hosting "Saturday Night Live," Jordan poked fun at how he coped with his split from Lori, calling it his "first public breakup."

"Most people after a breakup are like, 'I'm going to get in better shape.' But I was already in
'Creed' shape!" he continued. "So, I had to be like, 'All right, I guess I'll learn a new language.'"

A month later, he reflected more on the breakup during an appearance on CBS Morning. "I'm a firm believer in that what's for you is what's for you, and coming out of that situation — not to give it, you know, any energy and kind of move from that . . . it was an experience for me to grow and learn," he said at the time.

On Oct. 5, the NBA official Instagram account shared a photo of Lori's dad, Steve, embracing Jordan at a Knicks game, showing that things are likely relatively amicable between the exes and their respective families.
