Celebrities can seem untouchable much of the time with their fancy houses, expensive cars, and extensive security detail, but when it comes to feelings, even they can't escape the occasional mean tweet from a cyberbully. And while we admire the times when they ignore haters completely, we also can't help but let out a collective "Yes!" when they call out those who think they can remain anonymous. Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, FKA twigs, Jay Z, and Demi Lovato are just a few of our favorite stars who refuse to stand for digital drama, and their epic takedowns are becoming more frequent in an attempt to limit the hate that is spewed online every day. Keep reading to check out who is an expert at giving their haters a taste of their own medicine.

FKA twigs

Shortly after FKA twigs started dating Robert Pattinson last September, the singer was the subject of a slew of racist messages on Twitter from fans of Twilight, Robert, and his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart. FKA, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, took to Twitter to post a passionate response to the horrible comments. "I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week," one tweet read, while she stated in another, "Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online." FKA has the last laugh, though, as she and Robert were seen looking more in love than ever while walking the Met Gala red carpet together in NYC on May 4.

Kelly Clarkson

After British columnist Katie Hopkins slammed Kelly's weight on Twitter in February, saying she must have "eaten all of her backing singers," Kelly brushed it off like it was no big deal. "I'm awesome. It doesn't bother me. It's a free world. Say what you will. I've just never cared what people think. It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good, that's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family — I don't seek out any other acceptance."

Pink

Pink got majorly body-shamed in April when she attended a charity event wearing a sleeveless black dress. But the singer, being the badass woman that she is, took to Twitter to say that not only does she feel "beautiful," but she's also not worried about the opinions of others. She then posted a cute photo of herself with husband Carey Hart, with the caption, "and my hubby says 'it's just more to love baby' (and then I smack his hand off my booty cause we're in a supermarket)."

Jay Z

After Jay Z's music streaming website Tidal came under fire from people who claimed it was struggling to gain subscribers, he took to Twitter to shut down his naysayers. In a series of 15 tweets, Jay set the record straight about Tidal's progress, saying, "Tidal is doing just fine. We have over 770,000 subs. We have been in business less than one month. #TidalFacts." He also said, "The iTunes Store wasn't built in a day. It took Spotify 9 years to be successful…" Amen, Jay!

Amy Schumer

When writer Jeff Walls criticized Amy in February because he claimed that she was "not good-looking enough" to play the lead in the upcoming romantic comedy Trainwreck, Amy responded with the thing she does best: humor. She posted a semi-nude photo of herself on Twitter, with the caption, "I am a size 6 and have no plans of changing. This is it. Stay on or get off. Kisses!" Trainwreck hits theaters July 17, and we can't wait to see Amy on the big screen!

Demi Lovato

Demi, who has been open about her struggles with eating disorders in the past, hilariously shut down a Twitter troll last December after he said, "shut up fatty don't choke on your mcdonalds." Instead of lashing out, Demi, who is known to answer hateful tweets with nothing but positivity and love, wrote back, "But .... Big Macs ....," alongside four touchdown hand emoji. We're right there with you, girl.

Janelle Monáe

Janelle has killer style, and she doesn't let anyone dictate that but herself. The singer put a hater in his place in April after he told her to retire her signature suits and "stop being so soulful and be sexy." Janelle tweeted back, "sit down. I'm not for male consumption." AMEN.

Miley Cyrus

When the world was still getting used to Miley's racier new image in 2013, the singer was quick to announce that she was here to stay — no matter what anyone had to say about it. "Even people who want to hate on me, they can't even shut down the fact that I'm literally what everyone is talking about."

Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie

We all know that Nicole is one of the funniest women in show business. After wrapping The Simple Life in 2007, the former wild child settled down with Joel Madden and had two kids. But while Nicole has grown into an amazing woman, one Twitter hater couldn't help but bring up her past struggles with drug addiction. When someone tweeted last June, "Who remembers when Nicole Richie was a crack whore," she epically responded, "Me!," with a high-five emoji. High-five, Nicole.

Rihanna

While Rihanna is one of our all-time favorite musicians, she's also someone we definitely wouldn't want to mess with. When one Twitter user called the singer's hair "nappy" in 2011, Rihanna hilariously shot back, "cuz I'm black b*tch!!!!"

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez

Selena responded to a very dark bullying situation last year with nothing but class. After an Instagram user commented on one of her photos that she hopes the singer will "burn in hell with cancer," Selena refused to let that go. She posted a comment in response that, instead of bullying the girl right back, challenged her to be a better person. Check out her full message here.

Taylor Swift

Taylor is the best friend we all wish we had. She's relatable, funny, sweet, extremely close with her fans, and, above all, the ultimate girl-power role model. But when people started to criticize her using her ex-boyfriends as inspiration for her song lyrics, Taylor made it clear that was unacceptable. She told Vanity Fair in 2013, "For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated—a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way—that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist."

Zendaya

Zendaya's feud with Giuliana Rancic is still cooling off. After the Fashion Police cohost said that Zendaya looked like she smelled like "patchouli oil" or "weed" because she sported dreadlocks at the Oscars in February, the actress took to Instagram to release a mature and inspiring statement. "There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair. My wearing my hair in locs on an Oscar red carpet was to showcase them in a positive light, to remind people of color that our hair is good enough." Read Zendaya's full statement here.

Gabourey Sidibe

Gabourey had one of the best comebacks of all time when she shut down numerous haters following the 2014 Golden Globes. After fans criticized her silver dress, she took to Twitter to let them know how she really felt. "To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I mos def cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night. #JK."

Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling

Mindy is no stranger to people having an opinion about her appearance, especially when it comes to the adorable crop tops she loves to rock. She told Jimmy Kimmel during an interview in 2014 that people somehow think it's "courageous" of her to show her belly. "They're like, 'It's so refreshing that Mindy feels comfortable to let herself go and be a fat sea monster.' By the way, I run and work out. It takes a lot of effort to look like a normal, chubby woman." Um, we would kill for Mindy's wardrobe any day.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall took on all of her haters in a funny (yet disturbing) parody video of Mean Girls in 2014, where she wrote down all of the numerous mean things people have said about her in a Burn Book. In the video created by Dazed magazine, Kendall pokes fun at insults ranging from her modeling career to her famous family and makes it known that nothing can break her.
