6 People Meghan Markle May Need to Impress If She Wants to Marry Prince Harry
Prince Harry is currently dating Meghan Markle, and even though she's already been introduced to Prince William and Kate Middleton, it's still unclear if she's met all of Harry's friends yet. Back in March, Harry further proved that things are getting serious between the two when he brought the Suits actress as his date to his best friend Tom "Skippy" Inskip's wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica. In fact, she will also be accompanying the prince to Pippa Middleton's wedding to financier James Matthews in May. While Meghan may have already met Harry's former "wingman," there are a few other people in his inner circle she might still need to impress.
Tom "Skippy" Inskip
Tom is Harry's childhood friend from Eton College and was popularly known as Harry's "wingman." The banker was with Harry when he jumped into a pool fully clothed while partying in Croatia in 2011 and the following year when Harry's nude photos leaked. Tom also reportedly helped organize Prince William's bachelor party.
The nightclub owner is a longtime friend of Harry and William, and he even helped Tom throw Will's stag party prior to his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011. Guy's family also has ties to the royals; his mother, Lady Carolyn Herbert, was a former girlfriend of Harry's uncle Prince Andrew and was a close friend of the late Princess Diana.
Arthur, a filmmaker, is one of the youngest richest men in Britain and became friends with Harry at Eton College. He was with Harry in Las Vegas when his nude photo scandal occurred in 2012, and he defended the prince when the pictures leaked. "I obviously think it is really despicable that someone would accept Prince Harry’s hospitality and then take these pictures. I know it has put a real dampener on everybody who was on that holiday," he told The Telegraph.
Thomas van Straubenzee
Thomas has been friends with Harry since their Ludgrove Prep days. Harry proved how close they are when he rushed to his friend's side after Thomas was robbed by two men in London's Battersea neighborhood in 2011. Thomas is also one of Princess Charlotte's godparents, and Harry and Will are both patrons of a memorial fund launched in tribute to Thomas's brother, Henry, who died in a car accident in 2002.
Sam, who is the son of Richard Branson, and the rest of the Branson family are good friends with Harry and his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Harry and his brother, William, attended Sam's 21st birthday and the duo is often spotted hanging out together.
Jake is the son of John Warren, Queen Elizabeth II's horseracing manager, and one of the late Princess Diana's godchildren. He attended Ludgrove School and Eton College with Harry, and the two are frequently attend royal events together.
