HBO's Documentary About the Paris Attacks Looks Deeply Affecting

Unless you're a metalhead, the first time you heard of the band Eagles of Death Metal was probably on Nov. 13, 2015, when terrorists attacked the Bataclan theater in Paris. The band was playing a sold-out show when gunmen opened fire in the venue, killing 89 people. Months later, U2 invited the group to return to Paris and join them at their concert, in a show of solidarity with their fans — and the country. Colin Hanks (who met the band when he made 2015's All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records) documented their journey and has turned it into a movie for HBO: Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis, meaning "Our Friends." It will premiere on Feb. 13.
