Where All of the Actors on Game of Thrones Are Headed Now That Season 6 Is Over

We know, we know — it's tough to imagine your favorite Game of Thrones stars existing outside of Westeros. Still, now that season six has come and gone, it's time to see what Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, and the rest of the gang are going to be up to until season seven roars back onto our TV screens in 2017.

Natalie Dormer

Since she's done playing Margaery Tyrell for good (RIP), Natalie Dormer will suit up as a doctor desperately searching for a cure to a zombie-like infection in the action-horror flick Patient Zero alongside fellow Game of Thrones alum John Bradley, due out in August.

Kit Harington

Kit Harington has had a standout season as Jon Snow ('sup, King o' the North?), and his career doesn't show any sign of slowing down. He'll join Guy Pearce, Dakota Fanning, and Melisandre (JK, Carice van Houten) in Brimstone, an old-school Western that follows a mute young woman on the run from a vengeful preacher.

Emilia Clarke

After the success of her role in the much-hyped romantic drama Me Before You, Emilia Clarke has proven herself to be a silver-screen force to be reckoned with. You can plan on seeing in her in Voice From the Stone later this year, a thriller about a nurse who finds herself drawn to a young boy who hasn't spoken since the untimely death of his mother.

Peter Dinklage

Peter Dinklage

Unless Peter Dinklage decides to follow in Tyrion's footsteps and start making his own wine, the actor will lend his talents to Rememory, due out in early 2017, which is the story of a widow who discovers her late professor husband had created a machine that is able to record and play a person's memories. He was seen filming the movie in Vancouver in February.

Nathalie Emmanuel

In addition to filming Fast 8, Nathalie Emmanuel will star in The Titan in an undisclosed role. The sci-fi epic is due out in 2016 and also stars Sam Worthington and Tom Wilkinson.

Lena Headey

After blowing up half of Westeros with an explosion of wildfire, Lena Headey is headed to Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV to voice a character with costar and former Game of Thrones star Sean Bean!

Maisie Williams

A girl is definitely in demand, because Maisie Williams has a whole bunch of film projects for 2016 lined up. From A Storm in the Stars (about the romance between poet Percy Shelley and Mary Wollstonecraft, who went on to write Frankenstein as Mary Shelley) to iBoy (a sci-fi thriller about a young man who wakes up from a coma only to discover that he has weird superpowers thanks to parts of his iPhone being embedded in his head), she'll be keeping quite busy.

John Bradley

John Bradley, who plays Samwell Tarly on Game of Thrones, has three films that are slated for release this year. He'll appear in Patient Zero with Natalie Dormer, a rock 'n' roll thriller called American Satan with Drake Bell, and the period adventure movie New Amsterdam.

Gwendoline Christie

Gwendoline Christie

Since Gwendoline Christie won't reprise her role as Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones or as Captain Phasma in Star Wars: Episode VIII until sometime in 2017, make sure you check out her cameo in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie this Summer.

Sophie Turner

After wrapping her sixth year as Sansa Stark, Sophie Turner will step into the role of Penelope in the indie drama Alone, where she plays a teenage girl who befriends a veteran suffering from PTSD. She'll also join the cast of Huntsville alongside Dylan McDermott and Jack Kilmer.

Iain Glen

Iain Glen will go from one incurable, fictional disease to another when he ditches the grayscale-afflicted Jorah Mormont for the role of Dr. Alexander Isaacs in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

Since Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's cheeky Apple music commercials with Alison Brie aren't nearly enough to keep us from missing Jaime Lannister, the actor will star in Shot Caller, a crime drama, with Jon Bernthal and Lake Bell.

Carice van Houten

Carice van Houten will hang up Melisandre's red robes to costar in Aaron Eckhart's exorcism thriller Incarnate and join Kit Harington in Brimstone.

Kristofer Hivju

In his off-time, Tormund Giantsbane, er, Kristofer Hivju, is filming Fast 8. He's just one familiar face in a very extensive cast that includes old favorites like Vin Diesel and new members like Helen Mirren.
