Here's What the Original Baby-Sitters Club Is Up to These Days

These days, it seems like every iconic '90s property is getting rebooted. The latest addition to the reboot mania: The Baby-Sitters Club, the 1995 movie based on the novel series by Ann M. Martin. Netflix announced in February that they are producing a 10-episode live-action series based on the beloved novels; casting has yet to be announced. The young actresses who played the seven friends at the heart of the 1995 adaptation have had wildly varying careers since we last saw them on screen: some have become easily recognizable names, others are steadily working actors, and others have chosen to leave the industry altogether. After her success in the 1990s as a child star, Fisk moved into music instead of focusing on acting, and she released her first album in 2009. In 2010, she teamed up with Tim Myers of OneRepublic to form the duo FM Radio — which brought her full-circle back to the screen when they appeared as themselves in the CW series Hart of Dixie.

In recent years, Fisk has appeared in a handful of films and TV series. She had a guest spot on Fear the Walking Dead in 2016 and most recently appeared in the 2018 films The Nanny and Every Other Holiday.

Cook definitely became the breakout star of the group, hitting it big as quirky artist Laney in the 1999 teen rom-com She's All That, opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr. In 2001, she landed another cult-favorite role in Josie and the Pussycats before moving on to a more varied career that has included indie films, voice acting, and even Hallmark movies (one of which she also executive-produced).

In 2004, Cook married actor Daniel Gillies, who later gained fame of his own as noble vampire Elijah on the CW's The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off The Originals. The couple have two children. Cook also has her own production company, Ben's Sister Productions.
