Boy Going Blind Wants to See the World
12-Year-Old Louie Is On a Mission to See the World Before He Goes Blind
What would you make sure to see if you only had a year left of eyesight? That's the question 12-year-old Louis "Louie" Corbett must answer, since his genetic eye disease will likely leave him blind within the next year. Louie, who is from New Zealand, is in the states to fulfill some of his wishes. On the list? A Boston Celtics game, the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, the Empire State Building, and — oh, the Google headquarters in Mountain View, CA. Louie's mom, Catherine, told CNN: "This year we're going to try and fill his world with as many beautiful images as we can." Watch the moving interview above. Prepare a box of tissues.
