Chrissy Teigen on Postpartum Depression: "I Thought I Was Just Being a Selfish A-Hole"

Chrissy Teigen has been anything but shy when discussing her painful experience with postpartum depression, but in a new interview, she's opening up even more about the struggle and how she isn't letting it stop her from trying for baby number two. In InStyle's November cover story, Chrissy continues to open up about her experience with PPD after giving birth to baby Luna in April 2016, and it's reassuring to any mom who has felt the same way.

"I thought I was just being a selfish a-hole," she told the magazine, revealing that she spent days on end sitting on the couch with the curtains drawn before the doctor diagnosed her. "It wasn't just a mental thing of, you know, 'I'm sad.' I actually couldn't move."

She continued, "I have really good days and really bad days, and I don't tend to talk about the really bad days. But I would hate for people to think those days didn't exist."

After her experience with the "really bad days," speaking with a therapist, and figuring out the best medication to confront her struggle, Chrissy told the magazine that she's prepared to deal with PPD if she suffers in the same way after baby number two.

That's right — there may be another baby Legend on the way! Chrissy and hubby John Legend have one more frozen embryo from when she went through fertility treatments years ago, and she revealed that she plans on implanting it within the next few months.

We're so grateful for Chrissy and the other celebrity moms who have been so open about postpartum depression.
