Kelly Clarkson isn't afraid to tell it like it is. The Voice judge always keeps it real when dishing on her no-frills parenting style, as she's opened up about everything from spanking her kids to her reliance on wine to get through all of motherhood's twists and turns. When Kelly made a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she blatantly admitted that her seemingly angelic kids actually roughhouse quite often — and she doesn't intervene when things go down in the Clarkson household.

The singer and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, share two kids, 3-year-old daughter River Rose and 2-year-old son Remington. Her daughter, whom Kelly described as "authoritative," often uses that one-year age difference to her advantage, as she gives orders and shoves her younger brother. "She'll wait until your back is turned and she'll push him. She'll push him down and think we won't figure it out," Kelly revealed. The singer and her spouse have warned River Rose that her brother wouldn't take her sh*t for too much longer as he continues growing up.

"We said, 'Girl, he's gonna get older and he's gonna start pushing back,'" Kelly told Ellen during their chat. Sure enough, a few weeks passed, and little Remy started getting his payback. "He will just full-on punch her. And I'm like, 'What?'" Kelly said. "I don't know what to do, 'cause you want him to defend himself. It's a fine line of stick up for yourself and then don't hit people. But if she knocks him, I'm like, 'Well, you asked for it.'" It sounds like this mama isn't opposed to letting her baby girl get a little taste of her own medicine!

Ellen's response to Kelly letting her kiddos duel it out? "Wow, that sounds like a horrible household," she joked. See what else Kelly had to say about motherhood in the interview above.
