Tonya Rapley on Being a Working Mom

POPSUGAR / paid for by / Target

When Tonya Rapley had her son, she had to recalibrate the way she thought about herself. She wasn't just the founder of My Fab Finance anymore — now she was also a mother. "There was a moment where I felt like I was grieving my old self after I had him," she says. Her journey to find self-acceptance and understand her new normal as a working mom also led Tonya to create the Maternal Health & Education Project, which provides birth care funding for women who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it. Press play on the video above to hear about Tonya's journey in her own words and hear the unique way she makes time for her son while traveling for work.

We've partnered with Target to shine a light on truly exceptional work that parents everywhere do every day, from learning how to balance your career and motherhood to finding your new normal after becoming a first-time parent.
