18 Impressive Classroom Doors Teachers Decorated in Celebration of Black History Month

In celebration of Black History Month, teachers all over the country are decorating their classroom doors and sharing them to social media — and they're seriously impressive. The doors, which are all artfully decorated with the faces of black men and women — some famous, like Colin Kaepernick and Diana Ross — seek to not only supplement all students' Black History Month educations, but most specifically, aim to empower and inspire young black students throughout February and beyond.

"BLACK HISTORY IS A DAILY CELEBRATION," one teacher, Anecia White, wrote. "I have 25 students and every single one looks just like me!! It's not only my job but my CALLING to make sure they know we were KINGS AND QUEENS far before we were slaves, and we too shall reign again! This is why each student has a crown and expresses what THEY LOVE ABOUT BEING BLACK." Another teacher, Chanique Davis, added: "It's Black History Month and it's like a holiday over here at Lake Alfred Elementary. . . Shout out to my art club babies for twisting this paper into dreads (the real MVPs). She's got her gold clips, yarn wrapped around her dreads, and baby hairs, and she's ready to go."
