Sesame Street and CNN's Town Hall About Racism Is Full of Teachable Moments — Watch Them Now

Sesame Street and CNN teamed up on Saturday, June 6, for a town hall about racism, with educational opportunities for kids and parents alike. The "Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall For Kids and Families" special was hosted by journalists Van Jones and Erica Hill and featured Sesame Street characters and experts from across the nation.

During the town hall, Elmo and his dad had a conversation about the power of protests, Abby Cadabby talked about witnessing bullying, and experts answered previously submitted questions from kids over video. "Do you think George Floyd's death can change the way that people behave when they encounter Black men like my dad?" asked 9-year-old Paityn. Saniya, also 9, wondered, "What is a good way to deal with racism when I encounter it?"

These tough questions led to answers we can all learn from. Keep reading to catch up on the clips you might've missed, and consider using them to spark a dialogue with your own family.
